The chronicle is a list of moments. One rule decides what goes in it:
Only events that cannot be undone. The test is whether it would still be
worth reading in a year. A nation being founded passes. A nation's current
balance does not.
So a founding, a siege, a first arrival and a death that had never happened before are all in it. Nobody's balance, level or kill count is.
A first is an event, a count is a number
Numbers that go up are not entries. How many people have died in the Kalahari is a fact about the Kalahari, so it lives on the Kalahari's page. Who died there first is a moment, so it lives in the timeline.
What it does not say
Nobody is ever named as dead, and no page ever says a town was abandoned. When a place goes quiet, the record prints the date it went quiet and then stops.
Reading it
Every entry names the people and places involved, and every name links to its own page: what has happened there, and what has happened to them. Entries that came from a mechanic explained in this guide carry a small how at the end of the line, which brings you back here.
